Disability Network
|
This has been identified as an issue within the Community Development Working Group and also through other structures like Ballymun Community Organisations Network. There is not single representative body for people with disabilities and there a lot of support groups working in isolation. In the context of the regeneration issues of access and safety are paramount in relation to physical disability. Many voluntary groups are uncertain of their future also without a planned community facility. The network is attempting to source a funding stream to begin to work on actions.
