Week long celebrations planned for Ballymun

Ballymun has been chosen as one of six towns nationally to be a Positive Ageing Week town this Autumn.

Positive Ageing Exhibition Comes To Ballymun

An exhibition of photographs which will challenge some negative public perceptions of ageing and older people will be staged in Ballymun Civic Centre from Thursday 6th September to Wednesday 12th September.

Friendly call service now available in Ballymun

For someone who lives alone this is a wonderful way to have daily contact with someone. Its a comfort to know that someone is calling to have a friendly chat. (Moira, Blanchardstown).

The Friendly Call Service, now available in Ballymun, was established in 2005 to provide a free Telephone Alert Service to those who live alone or feel isolated or vulnerable . . . click to find out more >>

Are you over 65 living in Ballymun?

Grants are available from the Dept of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to provide the following:
Window locks, door locks and door chains, Security lighting, Smoke alarms, Once off costs of installing neck pendants.
Collect an application form from the Partnership offices.
Funding is limited.


OVER 55 ??? Tower Songs Evening Wednesday 7th March at 7.00pm in Ballymun Partnership.

Tower Songs is a long term city-wide arts project, led by CityArts, which celebrates through voice, sound and song, the memory and experience of a number of tower block communities across Dublin as they make the transition from tower block living via major urban regeneration initiatives.
