Tower Songs Evening Wednesday 7th March ('07) at 7.00pm in Ballymun Partnership.
Tower Songs is a long term city-wide arts project, led by CityArts, which celebrates through voice, sound and song, the memory and experience of a number of tower block communities across Dublin as they make the transition from tower block living via major urban regeneration initiatives. The project has already worked closely with residents of Fatima Mansions and Dolphin's Barn to respond to their experience of regeneration. Tower Songs is very interested in the experience of older residents of Ballymun who have seen many changes over the last sixty years, none more extensive as the current regeneration. Tower Songs recognises the wealth of stories and experiences of older residents in Ballymun.
We would welcome an opportunity to explore with active age groups some of those rich experiences in an initial series of workshops. This is an invitation to hear about the Tower Songs Project and to hear about how you could become involved.
