Belfast to Ballymun Partners In Education

A delegation of 18 people from Belfast including school principals, full service school co-ordinators and officials from the Northern Ireland Department of Education visited Ballymun on Tuesday, 19th February 2008. The visit was hosted by Ballymun Partnership. Ballymun Visits New York and Belfast

In 2005, when Ballymun Partnership, Ballymun Principals Network and Ballymun Primary Healthcare Team were exploring the possibility of establishing the Communities in Schools model in Ballymun, two delegations from Ballymun travelled to Belfast and to New York to visit schools and community based organisations actively working using the Communities in School model.

Study Tour of Communities in Schools, New York

A delegation of 14 people representing Ballymun schools, Ballymun Primary Healthcare Team, Ballymun Partnership and the Department of Education and Science travelled to New York City in January 2006.

Belfast Study Visit to Communities in Schools

A delegation of 11 people representing Ballymun schools, Ballymun Primary Healthcare Team and Ballymun Partnership travelled up to Belfast on 13th December 2005 to take a look at the work going on up there where additional resources are being provided to children and families within the school building.
