Community Employment is a FS programme that benefits both the community and the participants. The projects are involved in areas such as arts, community recreation, environmental, community advice and support, schools, tourism, health and welfare services. CE schemes can provide long term unemployed people with part-time work opportunities and training/development options and it can help you into a job and/or further education and training. This working group is chaired by Declan Dunne the Ballymun Partnership Manager

Community Employment provides eligible unemployed people and other disadvantaged persons with an opportunity to engage in useful work within their communities on a temporary basis.

It helps long-term unemployed people to re-enter the active workforce by breaking their experience of unemployment through a return to a work routine and to assist them to enhance/develop both their technical and personal skills.
