On Thursday, 5th June 2008, Ballymun Partnership hosted the joint launch of the Ballymun Trainers Network and the research report ‘Initiating a network for trainers in Ballymun and the surrounding areas’.(Click here to view / download) Ms. Berni Brady, Aontas: the National Adult Learning Organisation, was guest speaker at the launch.
The research, conducted by Camilla Fitzsimons on behalf of Ballymun Partnership, identified interest from local education and training providers in the establishment of a network for trainers. The purpose of the network is to develop a forum to support those involved in the delivery of education and training programmes.
An inaugural meeting was held in November 2007 and since then a further four meetings have been held. The network will host a FETAC Seminar on 4th September 2008.
