Ballymun Intercultural Group has once again been selected by the Equality Authority to co-ordinate activities to celebrate Anti-Racist Workplace Week. The week is a national annual event, which runs from the 5th-9th of November. Ballymun has three activities this year focusing on the employer, the migrant worker and the workplace.
Migrant workers are invited to an information evening on rights and entitlements in the Ballymun Library on Wednesday the 7th of November at 7.30pm, where the Migrant Right’s Center will speak. Employers are invited to a free seminar on integrating their workplaces on Friday the 9th of November in the Ballymun Plaza hotel from 9.30am – 12.30pm (see invitation below). The seminar is free of charge and lunch is provided. Niall Crowley from the Equality Authority will be among the speakers at this event. Finally a bursary has been made available for any workplace that wishes to carry out anti-racism training in the workplace.
The partners organising these activities are Ballymun Intercultural Group, Ballymun Partnership, Ballymun Job Centre, North Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Dublin City Council. For any further information, please contact Máirín or Emer at Ballymun Partnership on 01-8423612.
