Expanding the Workforce

On the 3rd of October, in the Axis Centre, FAS organised an information morning for women to support those wishing to enter / re-enter the paid employment.

L to R: Catherine Lane(Community Development Worker), Mick Creedon(Ballymun Jobs centre), Esther Byrne(DNWCRC), Noirin Coghlan( Childcare Co-Ordinator) and representatives from FAS.

FAS, the Department of the Social and Family Affairs, the Jobs Centre and the Money Advice and Budgeting Centre were available to assist those in attendance to enter education, training or employment. The Dublin North West Childcare Resource Centre had a stall to provide information to parents on childcare. A small play area was set up to facilitate parents with children talk to some of the organisations present. This was supported by the Childcare Co-ordinator and the Community Development Worker in the Ballymun Partnership.
