Ballymun Intercultural Group Celebrate International Day Against Racism

International Day Against Racism was celebrated in Ballymun with the sounds of African drumming and singing in the local community arts centre 'Axis'. Alongside the African performers was a Russian folk dancer and henna hand painter.

The local Ballymun Regional Youth Resource also got involved in the celebrations with an outside display of art work by the young people, as well as food and music from other cultures.

The intercultural group also hosted a coffee morning in the Ballymun Partnership offices with Tom Hyland as guest speaker. Tom is well known for his work in raising awareness about the political issues in East Timor.
