The Ballymun Partnership was recently successful in its application to the Dublin City Childcare Committee for funding for a 'One-Stop-Shop' for childcare.
The main focus of the One-Stop-Shop is to provide all childcare-related information, resources, support and training to childcare service providers, agencies, parents, employers and families.
Although the One-Stop-Shop will be based in the Ballymun Partnership offices in the Ballymun Shopping Centre, it will outreach its services to the areas of Finglas, Glasnevin North, Santry and Whitehall also. The One Stop Shop will be the local point of reference within these areas for anyone seeking information on childcare.
This is the first of five centres which will be based around Dublin City over the next five years. We expect to have it up and running before the end of December.
